Maintenance Specialist

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and
  • Follows all safety procedures, checks for safety hazards, and takes corrective action to eliminate safety hazards.
  • Focuses and maintains a clean and orderly work area and participates in plant housekeeping activities.
  • Performs tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systems throughout the facility from planning through to completion.
  • Responsible for Maintenance standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for reporting failure analysis.
  • Works with and provides oversight to contractor personnel.
  • Participates in formal and on-the job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non-technical job skills; participates in cross training activities.
  • Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
  • Suggests programs that reduce/contain costs and/or increase productivity. Takes independent action to resolve problems when appropriate.
  • Responsible for maintaining a parts inventory system to ensure repair/spare parts are available.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Interacts with team members and other personnel on a regular basis to gather or communicate information, solve problems, etc.
  • Coordination with other local geocycle sites for maintenance activities when needed.
  • Applies skills and performs work in other positions as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required Education:
Associates/Technical Degree or equivalent work experience

Field of Study Preferred:
Mechanical

Required Work Experience:
3-5 years

Required Computer and Software Skills
: Basic computer skills with knowledge of SAP preferred

Travel Requirements
: As required by company

Additional Requirements
:

  • 3-5 years industrial experience is required, equivalent education may be considered.
  • 4-5 years industrial chemical experience or maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of overall fuels blending operations, or comparable heavy industrial environment, is preferred.
  • Demonstration of maintenance technical skills, such as troubleshooting pumps, grinders, mixers repairing bearings, repairing drives, installing equipment, lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and fabrication is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver s license.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
